The Eternal Queue
A darkly comic soul-judging game inspired by Papers, Please and The Good Place.
The afterlife runs on paperwork, and you're the newest clerk at the threshold. Souls arrive one by one. Some are saints, some are monsters, and most are somewhere in between — and it's your job to read the documents, weigh the evidence, and stamp each one GOOD PLACE or BAD PLACE.
But the dead lie, and forgers are clever. A golden Letter of Salvation might be genuine — or its Soul ID is off by a digit, its name misspelled by a single letter, its seal the wrong sigil, its date issued before the bearer even died. A glowing record might hide a cardinal sin that damns outright; a black ledger might be redeemed by one cardinal virtue. And the High Office's wanted board overrides everything.
- Seven-day story — a new rule every day, escalating from simple tallies to forgeries, condemnations, grave sins, certificates, warrants, and the absolutes. Your conscience is tracked across the week, leading to one of several branching endings — including a secret one for a flawless, incorruptible shift.
- Endless Shift — procedurally generated souls, rising difficulty tiers, three strikes, and a high score to chase.
- A clerk's desk full of tools — pick up and examine documents, flip through a page-by-page rulebook that explains every mark and forgery check, and consult the wanted board before you stamp.
- Three difficulties, original art, synth ambience, and a persistent ledger of your record.
Judge truly. The queue never really ends — and one day, the soul at the desk will be you.
